Food control….

October 5, 2010 by welshcyclist

Starts tomorrow, when calorie intake is set to drop. Clive, the massivemtbker, gave me the key in his post of earlier today. It’s been staring me in the face all this time, and probably I’ve willfully ignored it. It’s going to take alot of willpower to follow, but I’m going to give it a go. Thanks for two things Clive, first, the very timely reminder that I need to select and control what I eat, and second that I need other exercise, and keep moving as much as possible.

I also read the inspirational 39 stone cyclist’s most recent post, sorry watched his video, and one of the texts across the screen read,    ” even if you’re sick, puke or die, keep moving”, it says it all.

That is the key, to only eat what I need and no more, as well as keep myself moving, not just cycling to and from work. I’ve been making excuses for myself long enough, if I’m going to hit mine and my wiki target, it has to start now.

I’m on the road to a new me.

Cheers.

While you are right in part the more important thing is what you eat, it is called food optimising. It is what slimming world is based on, for instance, they show you which groups of food you can and can’t eat together and which foods you can’t and what and how much of a food item you can eat per day. Not eating enough can be just as bad as eating too much and there are plenty of foods which you can eat as much as you like without affecting your overall amount you eat per day.

Once you get the hang of it it is fairly simple to follow but then it comes down to will power and sticking to those choices for the day\week

  2. Tim’s right. For example you can eat as many packets of Hob nobs as you like in a day as long as you combine them with laxatives 🙂

Best of luck in the mission mate. Keep us informed.

  3. @KFC – Thanks for that mate, coffee spat all over my screen!

@Welshie, ta for the credit mate, good luck, this is the toughest battle. Get you’re head around it and you’re there. Still work in progress for me, we’ll help each other eh?
