That’ll teach me…..

A nasty case of counting my chickens before they’d hatched, I’m afraid. Boasting about doing 180 miles for the week in my last post. Howling winds, 60-70mph, and lashing rain, dissuaded me from cycling to work today. Then at home time, all blue skies, and slightly gentler winds made me wish I’d risked the pedal in. Still forecast for tomorrow is positive, and I will be pedalling.
Look on the bright side, had you of cycled this morning the 70mph tailwind would of ment you could of stayed in bed for another 10 minutes.

That would have been a real incentive, sadly, westerly wind blowing up the valley would have meant I’d still be pedalling. But I like your positive and bright side approach. Cheers.
Bad luck. It’s foul here today so I hope you had better luck.
“I will be pedalling”, I so confidently said yesterday about today…….WRONG! Family crisis meant no pedalling at all today, my middle son was in hospital overnight with bad stomach pains, kept in for tests, thankfully allowed home today with no problems, so a happy ending. Now the weather has turned really foul again, strong winds and heavy rain. Should improve by morning, all pumped up and ready to go, fingers crossed!
Was a bit blowy wasn’t it! Glad your lad is ok.
Conor’s back to normal, and I managed to get out on my commute Thursday, and got a good soaking on the way home……GREAT!!!! And I mean that most sincerely, the normal weather for this time of year doesn’t bear thinking about. I love this mild stuff.
