Low key arrival……., and in the doldrums!

Yes, I know lovely reader, you’ve been waiting, with baited breath, for the appearance of my new bike. The bad news is I just haven’t had time to post, but the good news is I brought it home a fortnight ago. Only managed a short spin on my Raleigh Royal tourer, down and up the street, a couple of hundred yards, so haven’t been able to gauge anything yet. I know I’ve said this before, true professionals seem to have loads of time on the ball, me, well, I just seem to run around like a headless chicken, getting nowhere.
Now, I have the added blow, of my choir time being wiped out by my work roster over Christmas, I have to work when we practise, and on the dates the choir has various engagements lined up over the festive period. On top of that I have only commuted by bike a couple of times in three weeks now.
So feeling mega guilty, about letting choir down, being so lazy, and missing not being out there!
Life ain’t so simple, for this welshcyclist!
When have you ever known live to be easy?
Very true, just feeling sorry for myself, when in truth, I have so very much to be grateful for, cheers.
The choir clash is a real downer. No wonder you are a bit gloomy. I will weep for you.
Hi tootlepedal, no need to weep for me, just had a ride in the rain on my Pioneer, can’t use my best bike, my Royal, in this weather lol. Cheers
Brave fellow.
