Not feeling too good about myself……3
December 31, 2010 by welshcyclist
Feeling a bit of a wimp, failure, you name it, at the moment. Really had a great time cycling my commute yesterday, but looking at the forecast for today it said to expect below freezing temperatures at 04.00 to 05.00 a.m., this morning. Ergo, because I didn’t want to risk a run in with any icy puddles, I set the alarm for later, to take the car. Then when I got up, the temperature outside, was a positively balmy 6 degrees centigrade.
Been cursing all day for not riding.
Feeling very overweight, fat, uncomfortable, and miserable about it all.
Listen to me, I’m such a woose! I’ve loads to be thankful for, I’ve got the means to get where I want to be, the bike, the health to ride it and the support of you bloggers out there, I hope.
So roll on 2011, it’s going to be the year of the Welshcyclist.
Hope all you cycling bloggers out there have a fantastic 2011, especially you my faithful reader
Cheers for now..
Don’t feel to down….Better to wimp out today and fight tomorrow…
The Spring/Summer/Autumn is the time to be on the bike…The winter is just grab the miles when you can!
I know how you feel, I can own up to passing up on events in the past when the forecast was rain\bad weather and the following day dawned sunny and warm……………….. At the end of the day you have to do what feels right for you, but remember to re-evaluate your decision, so that if you look back and feel you have used it as an excuse not to ride then next time you can be more forceful with yourself (the inner wimp as Clive would say).
Pah, utter tosh and nonsense! You’ve done better than me lately! Keep the faith brother!
